Professional Background
I graduated from the Catholic Institute of Advanced Commercial Studies (ICHEC) in Brussels, Belgium. During my time there, I was a member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM UK). With over 15 years of experience in financial management across aeronautics, energy, pharmaceutical, and digital industries in multinational companies in Europe and the US, I have developed a wealth of expertise.
In addition to my professional experience, I am a founding member of the Senegalese Association of Birmingham (SAB) and Manchester (SAM), as well as the Grand Mouvement Citoyen pour le Développement du Senegal (GMCDS) association. I have also co-partnered in the BE-Téranga project, aimed at promoting Senegal. I have also worked as a Coach for sustainable development projects for Africa with the Belgian-Senegalese development cooperation OVO.
Biography
I was born in Dakar in 1977 and raised by my parents. My father was a civil engineer and my mother was a supervisor at the Blaise Diagne high school in Dakar. I was especially close to my father and he instilled in me a sense of responsibility, respect for others, and the importance of ethics and values in life. I have been happily married since 2003 and have three adorable children, two boys and one girl.
My education began in Dakar at Berthe Maubert primary school, followed by the Kleber establishment for my first cycle, and Lamine Gueye high school for my secondary cycle. After that, I attended Cheikh Anta Diop University, first in the Faculty of Medicine, then in the Faculty of Economics, before continuing my studies in Belgium.
I grew up in Bel Air, a middle-class neighborhood in an industrial zone, where I was surrounded by a jovial environment. My aspirations for leadership and management came from the education I received from my parents and my training at ICHEC. They taught me to transform myself, to open up to the world and to seek knowledge. This allowed me to expand my experience in life and to meet people from all over the world.
My main hobby is tasting traditional cooking, and I am a sports lover. I am a philanthropist and someone who values humanity above all else.
