Organisation

We are currently facing uncertainty in terms of our economy, politics, and society. We have experienced several economic and financial crises in recent decades, and the Covid-19 pandemic has further disrupted our daily lives. Additionally, the Russo-Ukrainian war has made it difficult for nations to develop and execute local policies, especially for those that are considered less fortunate, such as Senegal.

To address these challenges, it is crucial that we prioritize rationalizing our financial resources, implementing innovative strategies, and making decisions that are measured in terms of quality to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Method

It is crucial to highlight and promote the use of Modern Management tools that can anticipate defects in all operating processes of both public and private services. These methods expose system failures, redundancies, service delays, and duplications. The LEAN & Six Sigma methodologies are commonly utilized in large industries and are now needed to be adopted in government services as well. It is high time to appropriate these methodologies to improve the state's services.

Transparency

With the help of digital technologies, it is possible to achieve great things. Senegal has already made considerable progress in this field. It just needs to take advantage of this opportunity by focusing on developing business intelligence that can be utilized across all projects and public services for monitoring transactions and operations between different state corporations.

Achievement

In government public policies, there has been a lack of focus on achieving effective results that cater to the well-being of society. This could be attributed to the fact that it is not compulsory to implement targeted and adaptable performance indicators in real-time for the successful delivery of all projects, actions, or government services. Moreover, the financial deficit caused by corruption, mismanagement, and politicization inhibits the ability to achieve the goals.
